Sectioned off from the rest of the world lays a land where those who possessed superhuman abilities resided. Amongst themselves they would be known as benders, controlling elements such as fire, water, earth, and air. This land would be split into four nations; the Fire Nation, Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, and Air Nomads. Wars had plagued this world for centuries until the year of 2019. The Avatar waking only a couple years prior was able to build a strong enough base to force all 4 nations to recede from battle and sign a treaty with one another. Deciding that this deal would be in the best interest of their people to cease blood from shedding. While it was decided amongst nations, the spirit world worked off their own laws and continue to torment those in the world of the living.

Homes

Fire Nation

Those who belong in the fire nation tend to home near the more city like areas. Building homes near the center where shops and entertainment are close by.

Water Tribe

Those who belong in the water tribe tend to home near great sources of water. This means their homes are near oceans or lakes. This brings great comfort since their bending relies heavily on having a source.

Earth Kingdom

Those who belong in the earth kingdom are homed deep in heavily forested areas. Being the last to adapt to technology and the like, means their homes rely heavily on wood and other uses of structure. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Air Nomads

Those who belong in the air nomads are homed high on the side of mountains or at the very top. There is a need for them to stay up high where the air is thinner. They are also far from the city, often having to fly down to get what they need.
